AS Suction and Blowing System
The AS Suction and Blowing System has been developed to meet the demanding paper handling requirements of the printing industry. It provides a compact, efficient, and reliable solution for generating both vacuum and blowing air throughout the printing process.
By integrating all pumps, controls, and adjustment components into a single unit, the AS system offers improved performance, simplified installation, and easy operation.
Key Benefits
-
Compact, all-in-one design with pumps and controls housed in a single cabinet.
-
Improved print quality through individually controlled suction and blowing pumps.
-
Increased productivity by allowing each pump to be independently configured for the application.
-
Reduced machine downtime thanks to reliable pneumatic pumps operating on the Venturi principle.
-
Quieter operation with no heat generation and the delivery of clean, oil-free, moisture-free air, helping to protect both the product and the working environment.
-
Low compressed air consumption, providing excellent energy efficiency in relation to the generated suction and blowing capacity.
-
Minimal maintenance, requiring only periodic cleaning of the filter elements.
Construction
The AS system consists of a robust, easy-to-install metal cabinet containing the selected PA and PS pneumatic pumps, together with compressed air isolation and pressure regulation components.
The suction and blowing capacities are configured to suit the customer's application or the machine manufacturer's specifications.
Suction and blowing connection ports are located on the sides of the cabinet for straightforward connection to the application. High-efficiency microporous cartridge filters are fitted to protect the pumps from fine dust and contaminants.
Control Panel Features
The front control panel includes:
-
Main pneumatic isolation valve with integrated pressure gauge for monitoring supply air pressure.
-
Individual pneumatic shut-off valves for each pump.
-
Individual pressure regulators with pressure gauges, allowing each pump's supply pressure to be adjusted independently.
-
Vacuum and pressure gauges providing direct indication of the operating vacuum or pressure at the application.
-
Filter monitoring vacuum gauges to indicate the level of filter contamination on the PS pumps.
By adjusting the compressed air supply pressure, both the vacuum (or pressure) level and the airflow generated by each pump can be optimised for the specific application.
Flexible Configuration
Any combination of our pneumatic suction and blowing pumps can be installed within the AS cabinet, regardless of their individual suction or blowing capacities. Because of the wide range of possible configurations, this catalogue illustrates only combinations using pumps of the same size.
